Tallapoosa County Schools is currently encouraging everyone interested in becoming a substitute in our system to apply in HIreTrue. 

Substitutes are needed for: 

• Teachers
• Instructional Paraprofessionals
• CNP/Cafeteria Associates
• Bus Driver

Tallapoosa County Schools will only accept applications through the HireTrue website.

Substitute License Application Procedures

1. Complete  FORM SUB and SUPPLEMENT CIT and return to Tallapoosa County Board of Education with a $38.00 Money Order made payable to ALSDE.
2. A background check must be completed: 

   Each applicant will need the following to complete the registration process successfully:

    

   • A computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access
   • A valid email account
   • Established AIM account
   • ALSDE ID#
   • Fee of $46.20 paid by Debit card, credit card, or PayPal Account (Prepaid debit cards or credit cards are acceptable)
   • Ability to provide their commonly known personal information (SSN, DOB, DL#, Height, Weight, etc.)

    

   Be sure your applicants follow the required sequence below. If they do not, they will not be able to complete the process successfully.

    

   Step 1: Create an AIM Account https://aim.alsde.edu

   Step 2: Complete Background Check Registration in AIM

   Step 3: Create Fieldprint Account

   Step 4: Complete authorization forms, schedule appointment, and fee payment

   Step 5: Report for fingerprint appointment

3. Must attend Substitute Training Class conducted by TCBOE.
4. Must provide copy of High School Diploma or GED
5. Must be at least 21 years of age.
